Karen enjoys both commercial and residential projects. To accommodate a variety of clients' preferences and needs, she offers several fee structures.
Complete Service Design
This service is for the client who wants Karen to handle every aspect of the project. During the conceptual phase, the client and KB Designs works closely together to establish the type of design, and the needs and wants of the space. Karen adheres to all building codes, manages specific budgets and schedules installers and associate contractors. Or if the project is already underway, she works well with existing plans to implement the client's dreams. She can furnish your builder with complete schedules with all finishes and colors. Design fees are based on an hourly basis and determined by the scope of the project.
The Image Design
For the client who prefers to DIY (do-it-yourself)
Karen will develop a finish plan complete with paint colors, floor and countertop surfaces. This allows the client to then furnish it on their own or KB Designs will purchase items at a discount and use a traditional, less than retail mark-up. All areas are based on the client's budget and existing items that will be used in each area. Design fees are determined by the project scope and an hourly basis.
The Consultation
This service is perfect for anyone that just needs a few hours with the design knowledge of KB Designs. During the consultation, we will address areas such as the lifestyle of the client, space planning, colors, textures, and any issue that the client feels needs attention. This service gives the client a start to any design project. Hourly fees apply.
